Building Blocks Day

Thank You Friends of Genesis for making Building Blocks Together a Success!

Our mission began as a labor of love to bridge the gap between low-income homeowners and affordable housing resources.

As a result of partnering with NHS of Chicago, we were able to provide residents of the 7800 block of South Aberdeen with sustainable minor home repairs, accessibility upgrades and weatherization services on Saturday, June 2, 2012.

WE ARE NOT DONE YET!

As affordable housing developers and housing counselors, we regularly receive requests for help from homeowners living in unhealthy and unsafe conditions, but are unable to make necessary repairs due to economical reasons.

It is our goal to bridge this gap for low-income homeowners every hear through our building blocks program.

We pray this project will continue to grow and attract more organizations with altruistic spirits.
